Position Summary: The Senior EWM Support Consultant serves as the subject matter expert for SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) post-go-live support. This individual leads hypercare and sustainment support efforts, serves as the escalation point for complex issues, mentors junior team members, and drives continuous improvement in system stability. The Senior EWM Support Consultant collaborates with client leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve problems, conduct system analysis, and implement enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience, including hands-on SAP EWM configuration and troubleshooting, OR 7-10 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
  • Background or education in logistics, distribution, MIS, IT, or a related field.
  • SAP EWM certification required; if not currently certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP logistics modules and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven ability to train and mentor team members and client users.
  • A strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple support tickets simultaneously and prioritize urgent issues effectively.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a meticulous approach to system configuration and issue resolution.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on multiple full-lifecycle SAP EWM implementations, including embedded or decentralized EWM on S/4HANA.
  • Experience with advanced EWM capabilities such as Material Flow System (MFS), labor management, or yard management.
  • Ability to read and debug ABAP code.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense or another federal agency.

Responsibilities

  • Leads hypercare initiatives in the initial weeks following SAP EWM implementations.
  • Owns the EWM support workstream for assigned clients, including ticket prioritization, service level performance, and status reporting.
  • Serves as the escalation point for complex, high-impact, and cross-module support issues and leads root cause analysis for critical incidents.
  • Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to EWM Support Consultants I, II, and III, guiding them through goals and obstacles.
  • Designs and oversees configuration of enhancements and permanent fixes and partners with development teams on custom solutions.
  • Tracks system performance to identify bottlenecks and drives continuous improvement initiatives that increase system stability.
  • Develops and improves support procedures, troubleshooting standards, and documentation for the EWM support workstream.
  • Educates others on the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by EWM and conducts training sessions for end users and client personnel on EWM usage and best practices.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with client leadership, development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to maintain and enhance system performance and ensure long-term success.
  • Oversees software updates and security patches to ensure system integrity.
  • Travels up to 25-50% to client sites to provide onsite go-live and hypercare support.
  • Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.
