About The Position

We are seeking a Senior SAP Data Architect with hands-on experience, particularly with SAP S/4 HANA. This role involves defining the target-state data architecture across various platforms including S/4, BTP/Datasphere, SAC, Power BI, AWS, Salesforce, telematics, and the existing SyteLine environment. A key responsibility will be designing the data architecture for a three-year coexistence period where Aftermarket operates on S/4 while the Business unit continues on SyteLine. The architect will also challenge and validate client recommendations, clarify data placement across different systems (S/4, Datasphere, enterprise warehouse, AWS, archival storage), define the sustainable master-data model post-Phase 1, evaluate native S/4 governance versus later adoption of MDG or a third-party platform, and protect the client from making Phase 1 decisions that could constrain the broader enterprise architecture.

Requirements

• Hands-on architect with recent SAP S/4 HANA experience
• Experience defining target-state data architecture across S/4, BTP/Datasphere, SAC, Power BI, AWS, Salesforce, telematics, and SyteLine environments.
• Ability to design for coexistence periods between different SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Skill in challenging and validating client recommendations.
• Expertise in clarifying data placement strategies across various data storage solutions.
• Experience defining sustainable master-data models.
• Knowledge of S/4 governance and master data governance (MDG) or third-party platforms.
• Ability to protect enterprise architecture from short-sighted decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define the target-state data architecture across S/4, BTP/Datasphere, SAC, Power BI, AWS, Salesforce, telematics, and the remaining SyteLine environment.
• Design for the three-year coexistence period when Aftermarket is on S/4 but Bus remains on SyteLine.
• Challenge or validate client recommendations.
• Clarify what belongs in S/4, Datasphere, the enterprise warehouse, AWS, and archival storage.
• Define the sustainable master-data model after Phase 1.
• Evaluate native S/4 governance now versus later adoption of MDG or a third-party platform.
• Protect client from making Phase 1 decisions that constrain the broader enterprise architecture.
