As a Senior Salesforce Developer at Nuvitek, you will lead development efforts on complex federal implementations while mentoring junior team members. Much of this work involves modernizing legacy applications onto the Salesforce platform, building integrations with external, federal, and financial systems, and migrating data from legacy systems, often working from large and sparsely documented codebases. You will take ownership of technical modules, drive architectural decisions at the feature level, and serve as a trusted technical resource for both internal teams and federal clients. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong communication skills to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with complex implementations
  • Expert-level proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, and the Salesforce data model
  • Experience with the full end-to-end lifecycle from discovery to deployment
  • Experience modernizing or re-engineering legacy applications and migrating their data onto Salesforce
  • Experience building complex integrations with external and financial or transactional systems
  • Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with AWS services, or equivalent integration experience
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices, such as Git-based pipelines
  • Experience delivering in Agile and Scrum teams
  • Experience with federal government projects, including working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP, and of Section 508 accessibility standards (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and data governance
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex problems quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and executives
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on schedule

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex custom applications and integrations for federal clients
  • Analyze and re-engineer functionality from large, often undocumented legacy codebases onto the Salesforce platform
  • Design and lead complex integrations with external, federal, and financial systems, such as payment, billing, and reconciliation interfaces
  • Lead data migration from legacy systems, including data mapping, transformation, and validation
  • Integrate the Salesforce platform with cloud services such as AWS and enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake
  • Support and lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Provide expert troubleshooting of technical and process issues across implementations
  • Understand and contribute to overall architectural design decisions
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply DevSecOps practices across the development lifecycle
  • Ensure solutions meet Section 508 accessibility and federal security and compliance requirements such as FISMA and NIST
  • Advise on products, processes, roadmaps, and strategies for federal programs
  • Lead sessions in implementation best practices and coding standards
  • Actively mentor and support junior and mid-level team members
  • Present knowledge sharing sessions for team, practice, and company
  • Interview prospective team members and contribute to hiring decisions
  • Drive internal business development activities including demos and proofs of concept
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with federal clients
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality
  • Contribute to practice documentation, accelerators, and reusable components
