About The Position

Our client is an innovative, high-growth B2B ingredients company serving the global nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food, and beverage industries. Backed by a portfolio of clinically researched, science-driven branded ingredients, the organization partners with leading consumer brands to develop differentiated products that address evolving market demands. As the company accelerates its expansion in the U.S. market, they are seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Director to lead commercial growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and build a high-performing sales organization. The Senior Sales Director is a hands-on, player-coach leader responsible for driving U.S. revenue growth while developing and leading a national business development team. This executive will personally manage key strategic accounts, establish commercial best practices, and partner closely with global leadership to execute the company's long-term growth strategy. This is a remote position (United States).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive B2B sales experience, including at least 5 years in sales leadership.
  • Demonstrated success managing and exceeding multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets.
  • Proven experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams in a business development-focused environment.
  • Direct experience selling branded ingredients, nutraceutical ingredients, or related specialty ingredients is required.
  • Strong background negotiating strategic commercial agreements with large consumer brands, manufacturers, or retailers.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the U.S. commercial business, with full accountability for achieving aggressive annual revenue growth targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a national business development team, ensuring consistent pipeline management, sales discipline, and quota attainment.
  • Personally cultivate and expand relationships with strategic national accounts while serving as a player-coach for the broader sales organization.
  • Develop territory strategies, account assignments, and pipeline management standards to maximize market coverage and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long-term partnership agreements with key customers.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on forecasting, organizational planning, compensation strategy, and talent acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM reporting to support business planning and performance visibility.
  • Represent the organization at major industry conferences, customer meetings, and executive-level events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and inform commercial strategy.
