About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to provide safety oversight across multiple job sites as part of its Federal Solutions team. The role supports construction activities and government customers by helping protect people and critical assets and by implementing applicable safety plans and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related work experience in Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety oversight for multiple job sites.
• Provide daily site safety assessments and training for contractor activities such as trenching and elevated work.
• Follow and implement requirements of the Area/Resident Office's Safety Plan and applicable provisions of EM 385-1-1.
• Attend construction activity preparatory meetings.
• Review and assess contractor Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and activity hazard analyses (AHAs) for multiple projects.
• Immediately report conditions posing serious or imminent danger to the health or safety of the public, Contractor personnel, or Government personnel to the Contractor's Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and the COR for action.
• Prepare Engineer (ENG) Form 3394, USACE Mishap Notification and Investigation, for labor accidents or significant property damage accidents.
• Revise and update the Area/Resident Office's Safety Plan as requested.
