About The Position

General Motors is seeking a Senior SaaS & AI Security Engineer to strengthen the security of cloud-based business applications and emerging artificial intelligence capabilities. The role works across SaaS security, identity, data protection, and AI risk management, defining and implementing practical security controls throughout the SaaS and AI lifecycle—from discovery, architecture, and vendor assessment through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. It is a hands-on position focused on translating evolving threats into scalable controls, partnering with engineering and business teams, and improving security maturity while supporting responsible innovation. The role develops and matures the SaaS security program, evaluates SaaS platforms and integrations, strengthens identity and access controls, addresses configuration and data exposure risks, and supports architecture reviews and remediation. It also automates security workflows, develops custom AI agents, communicates risk, and contributes standards, playbooks, training, and security awareness. For AI security, the engineer establishes controls for sanctioned AI use, maintains visibility into AI use cases and data flows, develops repeatable security reviews, works with cross-functional partners, and turns emerging AI threats into control improvements and engineering guidance. This is a hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week. Relocation is not available. General Motors does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
