DataCandy is looking for a remote Senior Ruby on Rails Developer who thrives on technical leadership, collaboration, and innovation. In this role, you’ll architect robust solutions, mentor junior developers, and help set the standard for engineering excellence across our teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software development with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Proficient in Rails (or similar MVC frameworks), Active Record (or similar ORM), and RSpec testing.
- Familiar with JavaScript frameworks like React or jQuery.
- Experienced building and documenting REST APIs, ideally with Grape and Swagger.
- Comfortable with CI pipelines (GitLab CI) and static analysis tools like RuboCop and Brakeman.
- Detail-Oriented: Passionate about quality, scalable solutions, and object-oriented development.
Nice To Haves
- Bonus points for Capybara, Selenium, or other E2E testing tools.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery) or similar cloud environments is a strong plus.
