About The Position

Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior RPA Developer to join a high-impact technical services team. This role is for a Software Engineer 3 contractor within the client's IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team. The developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation and document intelligence solutions that transform large, complex data sources. Responsibilities include solution design, automation development, document ingestion and analysis, search enablement, infrastructure support, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement. The focus will be on robotics and document processing technologies such as Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, Azure, and PDF/document processing frameworks. The position involves developing, testing, and supporting solutions to automate business processes and convert large PDF documents and data packages into structured, actionable intake artifacts within a fast-paced Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment. Candidates must be local to Austin, TX.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience with RPA development, with at least 4 years specifically using Blue Prism, including attended and unattended bots interacting with web sites
  • 8 years of experience with RPA integration with APIs and Databases including RESTful web services and SQL DBs
  • 8 years of experience developing reports and/or documents based on structured/unstructured data
  • 8 years of experience building analytics based on structured/unstructured data

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience with Azure infrastructure including troubleshooting
  • 4 years of experience with Power Automate development including Power Automate Desktop and Power Automate Cloud Flows
  • 4 years of proficiency in the Java programming language
  • 4 years of experience with Power BI, SQL
  • 4 years of experience with Azure AI/Cognitive Search
  • 1 year of BluePrism Certification
  • 1 year of Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
  • BluePrism Certification

Responsibilities

  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Investigates problem areas.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Perform advanced developer duties including solution design, automation development, document ingestion and analysis, search enablement, infrastructure support, collaboration across teams, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, test, and support solutions that automate business processes and convert large multi hundred-page PDFs and data packages into structured, navigable, and actionable intake artifacts.
