About The Position
3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting is seeking a Senior Rock Drill Operator to operate cabbed rock drills, including mine-style production drilling, to safely meet production targets in challenging ground conditions. This role supports mining operations and may involve day/night shifts with overtime. The company has over 65 years of experience and is known for professional, safe, and accurate work.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 or more years of drilling experience (senior-level)
- Experienced in Sandvik Di650 Leapord DTH Rigs or similar
- Experience in Sandvik DP1500i Top Hammer Rigs or similar
- Ability to meet strong production expectations (ex: high footage/hour targets)
- Clean driving record + reliable transportation to/from job sites
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying and remote conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- MSHA 5000-23 Experienced Miner (preferred/current)
- Strong safety mindset required
Responsibilities
- Operate rock drills safely and efficiently; maintain consistent production
- Read/monitor ground conditions and adjust technique to reduce wear and downtime
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance/upkeep
- Follow MSHA/safety policies and maintain clean documentation as required
