About The Position

H&H is seeking a team-focused, dynamic, innovative, and results-oriented Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer for its Boston, Massachusetts office. The position will play a leadership role in the continued growth of the transportation practice and Highway Group. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary transportation engineering projects, support project delivery, provide technical quality assurance and quality control, mentor staff, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of the Highway Group and H&H’s transportation services. The role requires at least 15 years of design experience. Requirements

At least 15 years of relevant highway, interchange, and roadway design experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
Familiarity with Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) design standards.
Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and to manage small design groups and projects.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in delivering multidisciplinary transportation engineering projects.
Provide technical quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).
Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and roadway rehabilitation projects.
Lead client project meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage project tasks and projects, and meet with regulatory agencies.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with other members of the design team.
Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in producing plans, specifications, and estimates.
Oversee construction support services, including review of submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
Assist with business development activities and proposal writing.
Apply knowledge of state and local transportation agencies’ policies, procedures, and design standards.
Assist with project scheduling and management of project financials.
