About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst – RMA for the Space Force Range Contract to be located at Patrick Space Force Base, Fl. The successful candidate will function as a technical analyst on the Engineering RMA Worst Actor Assessment Team, supporting Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) historical performance reliability and system supportability assessments, with sustainment risk and maintenance trend research and analysis across a diverse range of subsystems that collectively enable safe and reliable launch operations.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum 8 years of LTRS experience working in an engineering, maintenance or logistics environment
  • LTRS experience working in an engineering, maintenance or logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of RMA concepts and technical analysis for sustainment, maintenance of LTRS systems and logistics supportability concepts
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance data recording (IMDS, Maximo, etc.) and trending analysis
  • Ability to assess and communicate technical risk in a clear, structured manner
  • Experience working in configuration-controlled engineering environments
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Active clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting launch operations, range systems, aerospace, defense, or safety-critical systems
  • Exposure to system-of-systems environments involving multiple organizations and authorities
  • Experience with reliability assessment concepts, systems performance trend analysis
  • Familiarity with digital engineering tools or data-driven analysis

Responsibilities

  • Apply systems engineering principles and maintenance analysis function research to study and evaluate the performance of complex instrumentation systems supporting launch operations.
  • Conduct historical reliability assessments and analyze reliability metrics trends for LTRS systems under sustainment to gain insight into existing or emerging sustainment concerns, to assess potential risks to operational readiness and to prepare summary reports for the USSF Customer.
  • Develop quarterly assessments of LTRS highest sustainment risk systems to assist the Customer in the development of sustainment and modification planning focused on mitigation of operational risk.
  • Interface with engineering, operations and maintenance, obsolescence engineering and performance analysis principals to gather insight necessary for the comprehensive assessment of system sustainment and operational risk, and to formulate necessary mitigation plans and requirements.
  • Identify and communicate technical risks, potential operational impacts and mitigation strategies to engineering leadership and customers.
  • Analyze technical data, maintenance trends and operational metrics to inform readiness and decision-making.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines and organizations to resolve technical issues and support mission execution.
  • Flexibly support multiple subsystems and engineering functions as workload shifts across the LTRS enterprise.
