About The Position

The Role Are you passionate about identifying potential risks before they become challenges while supporting business partners build strategies that keep our organization protected? Over the past five years, Fidelity has made a significant investment in developing Alternative Products, with a strong focus on launching new offerings across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, and emerging digital assets As a Senior Risk Manager – Alternative Accounting Risk, you will provide risk leadership across Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) as the firm continues to grow its Alternatives platform. You will partner closely with FFIO leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to new product launches, fund operations, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness. This role leads risk activities across global teams, supports Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 requirements, and helps evolve FFIO toward an integrated, end‑to‑end risk model for alternative investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in risk management, audit, or related areas
  • Strong knowledge of alternative investment products and fund accounting/operations
  • Proven leadership or project management experience
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment, control evaluation, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong data and analytics skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)
  • Clear, confident communicator able to influence senior leaders
  • Strategic, adaptable thinker who challenges existing practices and drives improvement

Responsibilities
