About The Position

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for supporting the Vice President of Human Resources in directing and managing the company’s insurance programs and claims. The Senior Risk Management Coordinator will be a key resource to identifying risk exposures and provide solutions to mitigate risk by performing the following duties. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. Full Time, On Site Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or other related field; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, think proactively, and prioritize.
  • Ability to exercise & maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
  • This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business.
  • A Valid Driver’s License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the purchase and binding of insurance programs and renewals.
  • Support carrier audits, site inspections and review and implementation of carrier recommendations as needed.
  • Responsible for oversight of all insurance claims. Act as the primary corporate liaison for company-wide claims and provide timely notification to insurance carriers, third party administrator (TPA) and The Villages leadership.
  • Work with carriers, TPA’s and outside counsel to evaluate claims and determine a plan of action to mitigate the claim as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
  • Monitor service of suits received through the Company’s registered agent and ensure they are forwarded to the proper party in a timely fashion.
  • Review and consult with the broker, contracts and lease agreements to ensure proper risk transfers are in place for outside contractors.
  • Draft and deliver reports and presentations outlining findings, identifying, and explaining potential risks, and recommending solutions.
  • Investigate on-the-job injuries to determine root cause and oversee the management of Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and administering enterprise-wide risk management and safety programs.
  • Review certificate of insurance requests and issue to various departments and third parties.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
