We are seeking a Senior RF/Microwave Antenna Engineer within our Airborne Radar Electronics Hardware Engineering organization. This is an on‑site position located in El Segundo, California. The RF/Microwave Antenna Engineer will contribute to the development of advanced circulators, radiators, filters, and other passive RF/microwave components. Key responsibilities include performing design analysis, verification, troubleshooting, and testing of circulators, radiators, Transmit/Receive (T/R) Modules, and RF/microwave subassemblies used in phased array antenna systems, including Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs). This position requires strong experience in microwave measurement and verification techniques, as well as proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools and microwave test equipment. The Senior RF/Microwave Antenna Engineer should have demonstrated design experience with both printed circuit board materials and ceramic substrate technologies. The role also requires the ability to deliver clear, technically sound presentations to peers, program leadership, and customers, in addition to supporting program management in new business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • A minimum of (5) years of experience simulating, testing, integrating, verifying, and/or validating RF/Microwave, T/R module, or antenna products
  • Design experience with (1) or more of the following: phased array antennas/AESAs, modules, radiators, beam formers, power splitters, feed networks, couplers, filters, circulators, and RF assemblies
  • Experience with Keysight ADS or MATLAB Simulink
  • Experience with RF modeling tools such as CST or Ansys HFSS
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within one year of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Current DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in RF/Microwave
  • Experience with microwave test equipment and calibration techniques, including network analyzers
  • Experience with antenna near‑field or far‑field range testing
  • Experience performing root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations
  • Experience with requirement generation and verification processes
  • Hardware experience at microwave and millimeter‑wave frequencies
  • Experience using Keysight ADS, Matlab, and AutoCAD
  • Leadership experience including coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to junior team members
