About The Position

TAE Technologies is developing radio frequency systems for a number of applications, including plasma heating on our current and next generation fusion devices and for plasma sources in auxiliary systems. The systems will span a variety of operational frequencies (e.g., 10 MHz to 10 GHz) and range of powers (e.g., 10s kW to 1 MW). The successful candidate will work closely with both the Engineering and Physics teams to develop these technologies from the design of the antennas, matching networks, transmission lines and instrumentation, to the procurement of component parts, to the commissioning and operation of the systems. He or she will work closely with RF physicists to design systems that meet stated requirements.

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
At least 5 years’ experience with radio frequency systems in an industrial, scientific or broadcasting environment
Experience with Matlab/Simulink or other applications used in the modelling of antennas, matching networks and transmission lines.
Experience with RF hardware from ~50 kW power levels and greater using solid state or vacuum tube technology
Amplitude, frequency and phase control of multiple sources.

Responsibilities
