About The Position

Over the past several years, we’ve experienced steady, healthy growth and built a high-performing accounting team that plays a key role in sustaining our success. The Senior Accountant will be a critical member of our finance organization, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of revenue-related records, including tracking payments, reviewing customer contracts, preparing invoices, and maintaining transaction integrity in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards. This position reports directly to the Manager, Revenue Accounting and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support our fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or public accounting for technology clients.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Active CPA license.
  • Experience in a SOX-compliant, publicly traded company.
  • Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Prior work in SaaS or technology industries.
  • Experience with ERP and revenue automation tools (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting and revenue note preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries for deferred revenue, accounts receivable adjustments, and contractual incentives.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and flux analysis for revenue-related accounts.
  • Assist in preparing SEC reporting schedules and revenue disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.
  • Provide support for quarterly and annual audits, including relevant documentation and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and SOX control requirements.
  • Partner with Finance Systems to enhance ERP and revenue automation tools.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiency in the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to streamline revenue recognition, billing, and reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate with Sales Ops, Legal, FP&A, and Customer Success teams to assist in resolving revenue issues and ensuring contract terms align with accounting standards.
  • Provide deal structure guidance to optimize compliance and business outcomes.
  • Lead or participate in ad hoc projects and other duties, as assigned, to support evolving business priorities.
  • Assist the General Ledger (GL) team in other accounting areas as needed (e.g., fixed assets, accruals, intercompany) to meet company close deadlines.
