About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant - Revenue to join our fast-paced Accounting team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company's revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and partnering cross-functionally to accurately account for complex revenue arrangements. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of revenue-related financial data, maintain compliance with internal controls and policies, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of ASC 606, US GAAP/IFRS principles, and experience with consolidated financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or close to completion is highly preferred
  • A mix of Big 4 and industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite, Google Sheets, SQL, and AI-assisted tools such as Claude and ChatGPT is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end monthly revenue close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and supporting schedules across all revenue streams (i.e., product revenue, partnership revenue, and revenue shares)
  • Support the transition to a new revenue recognition platform (Leapfin), including completeness and accuracy validations, reconciling to the GL, and resolving discrepancies across revenue integrations
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate new product offerings, pricing changes, and contract structures for revenue recognition implications under ASC 606
  • Serve as a key contributor to external audits, independently preparing audit-ready reconciliations and schedules related to revenue
  • Develop a strong understanding of underlying revenue drivers to support insights and recommendations, explain fluctuations in amounts, and assist with inquiries
  • Utilize and optimize accounting systems and AI-enabled tools to enhance data accuracy, streamline reconciliations, automate routine tasks, and improve reporting workflows
  • Independently own revenue-related accounting initiatives, including preparing technical memos on revenue recognition and building supporting workbooks, while assisting with ad hoc requests, such as contract assessments, deferred revenue tracking, and data clean-up initiatives as needed
