About The Position

AppDirect is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant with a solid foundation in revenue accounting and expertise in ASC 606. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-moving close cycle, demonstrating meticulous care in both routine journal entries and complex multi-element arrangements. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations, recognizing that revenue accuracy is a team effort. The candidate should possess a natural curiosity for systems and processes, with an instinct to identify and fix manual workarounds. A sharp eye for detail is crucial, as revenue errors have significant downstream impacts on financial reporting and business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on revenue accounting experience.
• Direct exposure to ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite ARM, used regularly to support close and reporting activities.
• Proven ability to review complex contract terms and translate them into accurate revenue accounting conclusions.

Nice To Haves

• CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze non-standard contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, and document conclusions clearly for audit readiness.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for one business unit, working to tight deadlines with a focus on accuracy.
• Partner with system teams to improve the use of revenue systems, reducing manual effort and increasing the reliability of revenue data.
• Identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities in the revenue recognition and close process, and drive improvements from idea through to implementation.
• Support M&A revenue integration work, helping new business units transition smoothly into existing revenue processes.
• Assist with the external audit process and contribute to cross-functional ad hoc projects that have a direct impact on scaling revenue operations globally.
