About The Position

A leading digital streaming network seeks a Senior Revenue Accountant to support subscription-based revenue recognition, financial reporting, and month-end close activities within its digital and DTC business units. This role focuses on revenue accounting, reconciliations, and system-driven processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition and subscription-based models.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
Experience with financial reconciliations, month-end close, and working with auditors.

Nice To Haves

Experience with subscription/streaming, advertising media environments, payment gateways, or banking systems is preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as Operative One, Salesforce, or Recurly, and exposure to foreign currency transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue recognition, deferred revenue rollforwards, and variance analysis.
Perform subscription revenue accounting, including building revenue waterfalls, amortization schedules, and reconciling unbilled receivables and credit card transactions.
Collaborate with cash and tax teams to support reconciliations, sales tax reporting, compliance, and coordination of payment-related entries.
Partner with auditors and support SOX and audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to sample inquiries.
Participate in ERP/system implementations, data validation, and process improvement initiatives, while supporting ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needs.
