The Photolithography (Photo) organization supports high-volume semiconductor manufacturing at Micron’s Boise facility, enabling advanced memory solutions through detailed reticle and lithography processes. The team partners closely with manufacturing, automation, IT, and quality organizations to ensure operational excellence and drive continuous innovation in fab performance. As a Senior Reticle Equipment Engineer within the Photolithography (Photo) organization, you will be responsible for sustaining and improving reticle-related equipment performance in a high-volume manufacturing (HVM) wafer fabrication environment. You will play a key role in ensuring reticle quality, tool availability, and process stability to enable world-class fab operations. This position requires close collaboration with Photo process teams, Manufacturing, AMHS/Automation, IT, and Global Quality to drive continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence, including the use of advanced data analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with photomask or reticle-related equipment
  • Knowledge of EUV/DUV reticle processes and sensitivity to particles and defects affecting reticle handling
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and data analysis skills with the ability to lead investigations and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cleanroom environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Experience with mask inspection tools such as KLA SL6xx platforms, SUSS MaskTrack systems, or Brooks stockers
  • Familiarity with SPC, defect monitoring, and automation systems such as AMHS or MES
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments or fab startup and expansion activities
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity and workflows

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment installation, qualification, and production ramp for reticle inspection tools, stockers, cleaning systems, and pod washers
  • Monitor tool performance, uptime, and process stability, and lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, photolithography, automation, IT, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve operations
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and availability
  • Drive continuous improvement in reticle quality, defectivity reduction, cycle time, and cost efficiency
