About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice while supporting sales and day-to-day store operations. The Senior Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service, exceed customer expectations, and contribute to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The position involves assisting customers with automotive needs, supporting teammates and store leadership, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and complying with safety policies. Associates use AutoZone systems to build product knowledge, assist with certain installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, and weekends, with overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment; assist team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
