Requirements
- Certified appraisers with the State of Missouri
- Qualified as a supervisor for trainees for appraisal licenses.
Responsibilities
- Making field and office appraisals of more difficult and complex agricultural and residential, special purpose (condo’s, coop’s), and vacant properties.
- Gathering, recording, maintaining and analyzing a variety of data such as zoning, asking and selling prices, income and building costs.
- Receiving and investigating complaints about property assessments, making reappraisals and submitting recommendations at hearings.
- Preparing and supporting technical cases for the Board of Equalization hearings and State Tax Commission hearings.
