Milestone is a 7-30 day intensive level 3.7 residential treatment center designed to accommodate and treat women with a history of substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. Our program is recovery-oriented, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed. The overall goal of treatment is to help women find real hope for recovery. Milestone offers individual and group counseling, case management, and aftercare planning services. This program also provides treatment for co-occurring disorders, with substance abuse as their primary diagnosis. Treatment is individualized and targeted around the needs essential to moving forward toward employment, housing, and family stability. Milestone is part of CHR's Center of Excellence for Women/Women and Children at our Putnam campus. Length of day is less than 30 days and are then referred out to a step-down program to further address their co-occurring disorders. As a Senior Residential Aide, you will maintain physical environment and program standards, monitor medications, utilize appropriate communication methods to transfer information to other staff, teach and assist residents in areas of rehab including nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills. You will also assist/manage administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor, prepare and facilitate educational and skill building groups and one to one intervention as directed by the treatment plan, collaborate and coordinate care with providers and families as needed, assist residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs, and maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards. Additionally, you will participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned, facilitate post crisis response meetings with program staff and program director, orient and train new program staff, facilitate staff meetings in the absence of the program director, coordinate staff training efforts ensuring compliance to program models, and oversee staff implementation of identified strategies for residents to ensure needs are met. You will also care for all program facilities and equipment, ensuring program compliance with CHR health and safety standards, as well as Joint Commission, DCF, DPH, DMHAS, and OSHA standards, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable. This role provides after-hours’ on-call coverage, including holidays and weekends. Additional duties as required.
