About The Position

Manage the day-to-day operations of the MacLean laboratories and process and manage all aspects of research projects conducted in Dr. Andrew MacLean’s laboratory. The role includes scheduling research experiments, maintaining inventory, purchasing laboratory supplies and reagents, and planning and maintaining records for multiple projects and tasks. Maintain the laboratory in accordance with biosafety and environmental safety regulations and rules.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• At least 6 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with experimental procedures such as immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, tissue culture, and flow cytometry.
• Previous experience purchasing supplies and maintaining a laboratory.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with paperwork requirements associated with NIH-funded grants and contract studies is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, such as biology, microbiology, or molecular biology.
