About The Position

The Senior Research Specialist will lead independent and collaborative research focused on the physiological effects of fungal small molecules, including mycotoxins and volatile organic compounds. This position serves as an experienced research professional responsible for experimental design, execution, data analysis, and dissemination of research findings. The incumbent will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to advance research initiatives involving filamentous fungi, contribute to grant development, and support publication efforts. The role includes mentoring undergraduate and graduate research trainees and ensuring compliance with university policies and applicable biosafety and regulatory standards. This position requires intellectual independence, scientific creativity, and strong collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary research environment.
