About The Position

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight years of related experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Design, perform and analyze experiments to study the structure/function relationships of assigned proteins from Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other organisms.
  • Cloning and expression of proteins of interest.
  • Purification of proteins in sufficient quantity to obtain crystals. Crystallization of proteins. Data collection and analysis.
  • Preparing data for grant application.
  • Monitoring and quality control of drug library. High-throughput drug screens. Assist with laboratory management of stocks, supplies and equipment.
  • Communicating and conducting collaborations with pharmaceutical partners.
  • Training students and other duties as required.
