Key responsibilities include supporting proposal development and budget preparation, reviewing and advising on institutional and sponsor requirements, and managing post-award financial activities, reporting, and closeout. The Senior RFA performs in-depth analysis of complex grants, contracts, and subawards, evaluating multiple variables and funding mechanisms. They ensure compliance with institutional policies and sponsor regulations, promoting effective financial stewardship of research funds. This role acts as a key resource for faculty and administrative staff, offering guidance on complex research administration matters. The Senior RFA may review or approve transactions for less experienced staff, be eligible for delegated signature authority, and serve as a technical lead in specialized areas. The position may also involve leading projects or providing functional oversight to other analysts.
