About The Position

The APEX Group is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to develop advanced sensing concepts utilizing adaptive radar signal processing, resource management, and advanced radar algorithm development, as well as executing advanced sensor concept demonstrations. A successful candidate will have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: advanced signal processing, radar systems, RF remote sensing, or resource management; or a strong background in a foundational field for these areas (i.e. – mathematics, physics, etc.). This position requires skills working as part of multi-disciplinary teams designing and analyzing signal processing algorithms for complex systems. Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and technical leadership skills are desired.

Requirements

Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S citizenship is needed by the U.S government
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. Equivalent Experience co
Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python as well as other higher-level languages
Strong Mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience with advanced RF system concepts, multi-dimensional signal processing, waveform design, system optimization, or multi-function phased array apertures
Experience with algorithm optimization for real time systems, especially radar or remote sensing

Responsibilities

Work as part of a focused team to architect, develop, implement, and test RF signal processing systems
