As a Senior Research Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading the development and application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to enhance understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer in 3M's material handling, energy transport, products, and processes. Collaborating with a cross-functional team of application engineers, scientists, and process engineers to drive the creation of next-generation products through Multiphysics modeling and simulation. Developing and validating CFD models to assist formulators and engineers in identifying optimal design spaces and process improvements, while supporting simulation engagements with customers to address complex fluid dynamics challenges. Initiating and contributing to the analysis and development of intellectual property.
