Senior Research Associate, Biologics

Triveni BioWatertown, MA

About The Position

Triveni Bio is breaking new ground in the identification of novel disease targets – working at the convergence of human genetics, best-in-class antibody design, and precision medicine. We are pioneering a Mendelian genetics-informed precision medicine approach to develop functional antibodies for the treatment of immunological and inflammatory (I&I) disorders. Our lead antibody program (TRIV-509) targets kallikreins 5 and 7 (KLK5/7) to directly impact skin barrier function, inflammation, and itch – providing a meaningful and much needed potential treatment option for patients with atopic dermatitis and other barrier disorders. In all the work we do, we adhere to our core values: patient impact, bold and rigorous science, open collaboration, kindness & respect. Triveni Bio is in search of an innovative Sr. Research Associate to join our Biologics team. In this role, you will lead the development, optimization, and execution of cell-based assays to evaluate the potency and function of biologics within Triveni’s therapeutic pipeline. Your work will directly contribute to the validation of new treatments for inflammatory diseases. On a day-to-day basis, you will culture a wide variety of continuous cell lines and primary cells, conduct functional readouts, and analyze the resulting data to identify high-potential candidates. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in cellular biology and assay development to directly impact cross-functional therapeutic development.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience developing and troubleshooting cell-based assays for evaluating the potency and function of biologics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mammalian cell culture, specifically managing both diverse continuous cell lines and sensitive primary cells.
  • Proven technical proficiency with Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and MSD assay platforms.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strict commitment to accurate ELN documentation and data integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior industry experience working specifically with therapeutic antibodies.
  • Experience with monoclonal and bispecific antibodies.
  • Hands-on experience with AKTA chromatography systems and proficiency in standard purification techniques such as affinity and SEC.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize robust cell-based assays to evaluate biologics potency and mechanism of action.
  • Establish, culture, bank, characterize, and maintain a wide variety of mammalian continuous cell lines and primary cells.
  • Execute multiplexed and functional readouts using Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) platforms.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data using software tools such as GraphPad Prism, FCS Express, etc.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of experimental designs, protocols, and results in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional preclinical teams to advance therapeutic pipelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
