About The Position

Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Senior Remediation Engineer or Geologist in our Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, FL or any one of our other South Florida offices, who is interested in leading innovative and challenging projects involving contaminated site assessment and remediation for commercial and industrial properties, brownfield redevelopments, and solid waste sites. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred) or geology.
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E. or P.G.).
  • At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the Florida marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep experience implementing assessment and remediation projects and programs under Chapter 62-780 FAC.
  • Experience in effective management of projects, including responsibility for resource allocation, quality, technical oversight, and financial management.
  • Experience mentoring and managing professional staff.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple project assignments, meet deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering or science.
  • Assessment/remediation experience with emerging contaminants and innovative technologies.
  • Experience with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing clients.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.

Responsibilities

  • Directing, managing, and implementing challenging technical projects involving site investigation and remediation, brownfield redevelopments, and due diligence
  • Cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, resulting in the expansion of the Firm’s current practices and capabilities through new business opportunities
  • Maintaining high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events
  • Supervising and mentoring early career professionals
