  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or experienced Mechanic/Electrical tradesman/technician
  • 8–15+ years of experience in maintenance execution, reliability, maintenance engineering, Planning and Scheduling or asset management within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or oil & gas.
  • Proven involvement in implementing CBM / PdM programs.
  • Strong understanding of Asset failure modes, Sensor technologies and condition monitoring data.
  • Foundational knowledge of OT/IT integration concepts, Data historians and CMMS integration.
  • Working knowledge of predictive analytics concepts and machine learning applications in asset health.
  • Ability to translate data outputs into engineering actions.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with RCA, RCM, FMEA/FMECA and Bad actor elimination.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with APM systems will be a plus
  • Reliability or asset management certifications are an asset (e.g., CRE, CMRP, ISO 55000, Six Sigma).
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, implementation and sustainment of Remote Asset Health Monitoring for critical assets.
  • Develop asset health models that integrate field sensor data, Historian and maintenance system data.
  • Provide technical guidance on OT/IT integration concepts (historians, CMMS, APM platforms, data flows) and Data validation and contextualization.
  • Collaborate with IT, Data Analytics, and OEMs to ensure reliable and secure data pipelines.
  • Serve as the technical owner and reliability lead for the APM implementation.
  • Define and maintain the reliability framework underpinning the APM system, including: Asset hierarchies, Failure modes and health indicators, Risk and criticality models.
  • Provide technical input to configuration of Predictive models, Rules-based alerts and Health and risk dashboards.
  • Ensure APM outputs translate into Actionable maintenance work and measurable reliability and cost improvements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Operations, Maintenance, IT, and the APM implementation team.
  • Design and implement standards, frameworks, and best practices for a Condition-Based Maintenance program.
  • Define Critical Asset Lists, Failure modes suitable for CBM/PdM, Sensor and data requirements (vibration, temperature, pressure, oil analysis, electrical, process data).
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure Field data quality, density, correct interpretation of condition indicators and Effective response workflows to asset health alerts.
  • Apply foundational data analytics concepts to support asset health insights.
  • Support or guide the use of Predictive analytics tools.
  • Validate model outputs using engineering judgement and field knowledge.
  • Continuously improve models based on operational feedback and failure history.
  • Provide technical reliability support for Fixed Plant (crushing, conveying, processing, utilities) and Mobile Equipment (haul trucks, shovels, loaders, drills, ancillary equipment).
  • Identify and eliminate bad actors through data-driven analysis and structured reliability methodologies.
  • Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA), RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and FMEA/FMECA.
  • Translate reliability findings into Optimized maintenance strategies, Asset care standards and Improved job plans and task frequencies.
  • Support lifecycle asset decisions including maintenance tactics, spares strategies, and asset replacement recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain Reliability engineering standards (CBM/PdM guidelines, Asset health monitoring playbooks).
  • Mentor and coach maintenance and reliability personnel on Reliability methodologies and Data-driven decision making.
  • Promote a culture of proactive, risk-based maintenance.
