In this exciting role as a Senior Post Market Reliability Engineer, you will have responsibility for ensuring the safety and performance of Medtronic Patient Care Systems products. You will provide key technical expertise and leadership to monitor and maintain ongoing reliability of software products, like device programmers, clinician information systems, and patient remote monitors that support our CRM business. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math and minimum of 4 years of technical experience OR advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with 2 years of technical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device or medical software development or reliability, and experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis using statistical techniques and reliability tools.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with focus on complaint investigations, improved system performance outcomes, and positive business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.
  • Produces product/platform quality reports and communicates information across the business unit including upper-level management.
  • Completes risk analysis for complaint investigations, CAPA, etc.
  • Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
  • Develops detailed quality documentation, may need to support review of such documents during regulatory body audits.
  • May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches, or processes that require analysis or bounding.
