About The Position

The Sr Regional Margin Manager role at Heritage Pool Supply Group is focused on the strategic enhancement of profitability of Heritage Pool Supply. The position requires collaboration with brand teams to identify, prioritize, and implement pricing strategies that optimize margins, coupled with delivering insights and tracking the impact of these initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Pricing and working closely with Heritage leadership, the Sr Regional Margin Manager will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong business acumen to drive margin improvements, influence decision-making, and uphold financial accountability for gross margin percentages across the business portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pricing, margin management, or a similar role with a focus on profitability enhancement.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, complex formulas, and macro development.
  • Proficiency with the broader Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SQL proficiency — able to independently query, validate, and reconcile pricing and transactional data.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with an ability to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience in generating insights and tracking financial impact related to margin improvements.
  • Exceptional influencing and advisory skills to serve as a trusted advisor on pricing strategies to drive margin enhancement.
  • Ability to engage effectively with brand teams to execute margin-enhancing opportunities.
  • Capacity to maintain accountability for gross margin percentage improvements linked to net sales.
  • Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time, with the capability to work from a home office or a branch office located in the region.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related quantitative field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in the Pool Supply Industry is preferred.
  • Experience directly managing or leading analysts.
  • Experience with Agility software is a plus.
  • Exposure to pricing optimization or CPQ platforms such as Pricefx, Vendavo or PROS.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate proactively with field teams to identify, prioritize, and implement pricing strategies that enhance margins across the irrigation business segment, ensuring alignment with corporate profit objectives.
  • Design and govern customer pricing segmentation and correction programs, including peer benchmarking, outlier identification, and structured correction schedules.
  • Establish and enforce pricing governance: exception and approval thresholds, discount authority, override monitoring, and escalation paths.
  • Drive insight creation, develop and maintain comprehensive margin performance tracking systems, utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Perform UAT on new pricing software and enhancements to validate functionality before release.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on margin enhancement initiatives, leveraging strong business acumen and industry expertise to influence decision-making and drive effective pricing strategies.
  • Lead the analysis of market trends and competitor pricing, utilizing data-driven insights to recommend strategic adjustments to optimize profitability and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on margin metrics, facilitating transparent communication of performance results to key stakeholders, thereby driving informed business decisions.
  • Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement in margin management processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement optimization opportunities.
  • Direct the evaluation and application of Agility software tools, where applicable, to streamline pricing operations and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of margin management activities.
  • Manage pricing analyst(s) — set priorities, coach and develop, and hold the team to consistent analytical standards.
