About The Position

The Senior Regional Consultant on YA’s Environmental Services team leads project teams and supports clients through environmental impacts from catastrophic losses. This role manages a range of projects—from routine claims to complex losses—while evaluating property conditions and guiding practical, cost-effective decisions. Operating with a high degree of independence, the Senior Regional Consultant also delivers clear, concise reports with actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate has an established client network and has a strong track record of building rapport and maintaining lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences or equivalent years of experience.
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • Mold, asbestos, and/or lead certifications
  • CIH certification
  • Team-oriented with a strong interest in learning and growth
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental consultants, supporting their development and project work
  • Reviews junior consultants’ work to ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely deliverables before client submission.
  • Manage team workload and provide overall project support
  • Analyze data to develop damage estimates, risks, scopes, and reports
  • Support regional growth through recruiting and business development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while generating new work
  • Partner with business development on conferences and client outreach
  • Perform and schedule industrial hygiene and building science services
  • Identify environmental risks and health hazards related to catastrophic losses
  • Conduct building inspections for asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazards
  • Perform testing, sampling (air, water, soil, etc.), and IAQ assessments
  • Develop project scopes, protocols, and detailed reports
  • Review invoices, budgets, and schedules on behalf of clients
  • Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and key stakeholders
  • Work independently on smaller projects and collaborate on larger losses
  • Maintain project files and documentation
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
