About The Position

Evoke is seeing a Senior Records Archivist (CLEARED) to join our team!

Requirements

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ RM-related experience, with both Classified and Unclassified records
  • Requires master’s degree in business, project management, or other business-related field of study
  • MUST be able to lift up to 40 pounds and utilize ladders, stairs, and/or carts to access shelving or stacked files
  • Experience supervising a small team (> 5 personnel)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to anticipate requirements and proactively address new tasks to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with Senior Leadership/Executives
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Security Clearance: Requires a fully adjudicated, active (or recently deactivated – within last two years) TOP SECRET (Q) clearance; must be able to obtain/maintain a DOE “Q” clearance
  • Candidates will be required to submit to (and pass) a 10-panel drug screening
  • This position is REQUIRED to report on-site (Washington, DC) five (5) days/week.
  • May require occasional travel to West Virginia

Responsibilities

  • Assists with, monitors, and when necessary, leads and verifies the efforts of the implementation of Department wide policy and guidance for record-keeping, in accordance with the Federal records Act, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) regulations and guidance
  • Adheres to and all Congressional mandates, privacy and freedom of information laws and regulations, and appropriate national security classification/declassification requirements for all federal records and performs real-time gap analysis and prevention of non-compliance and makes recommendations towards correction and/or mitigation to senior leadership
  • Possess an expert level of knowledge of NARA regulations and works to ensure that records and information assets are archived according to an approved records schedule to ensure government accountability, protect the interests of the public, and mitigate records-related litigation risks.
  • Possesses and applies knowledge in the proper handling of government records, ensuring the proper general or agency records schedules are applied, conducting records appraisal, inventory, disposition, transfer, accessioning processes, and logistics, on multiple work assignments managing federal records collections 
  • Requires expert-level understanding of federal records methodologies, attention to detail and due diligence in accomplishing tasks
  • Operates with latitude and without supervision in following Department processes and in identifying potential problems and presenting possible solutions 
  • Provides expert level, intellectual contributions to deliverables and performance metrics 
  • Develops and completes submission of annual file plan/records inventory
  • Reviews and creates inventories of both unclassified and classified paper records
  • Reviews record to determine disposition dates and coordinates with classification units/team to declassify and disposition records, accordingly
  • Prepares paper classified records for digitization and/or shipment
  • Conducts comprehensive evaluation of record collections, situated across multiple locations
