About The Position

Consolidated Investment Group is a real estate investment and management firm with a growing, varied portfolio of owned and managed properties. They operate where strategy meets execution, and where sharp financial judgment shapes every asset and every outcome. They are looking for people who don't just keep pace with a fast-moving industry — they help set it. This role is for a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Accountant who will take full ownership of the numbers behind a defined slate of properties. The accountant will run the complete accounting cycle for their portfolio end to end, translate the details into insights leadership can act on, and become the go-to financial voice for Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, and Tax. This role is for someone whose expertise moves the needle, not just documents what already happened.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, real estate, or fund/investment environments
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, partnership accounting, lease accounting, and CAM reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Business Central or a comparable real estate accounting system

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities and properties
  • Prepare financial statements and variance analyses for leadership and investors
  • Own bank reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and balance sheet integrity
  • Manage weekly cash tracking, forecasting, and funding for your portfolio
  • Execute wires, transfers, and ACH transactions with proper governance
  • Monitor debt covenants and support loan management
  • Partner with Real Estate and Property Management on budgeting and forecasting
  • Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and communicate key drivers to stakeholders
  • Review external property management reports for accuracy and improvement opportunities
  • Audit development projects and validate construction spending
  • Manage lien waivers and project reconciliations
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Drive process and system improvements
  • Lead the 1099 process and vendor management
