Senior Readiness Tester
About The Position
Peraton is seeking a Senior Readiness Tester to ensure the operational readiness of products before their deployments. This role involves executing and supporting operational testing, conducting research, and evaluating the technical performance of customer products and system segments. The Senior Readiness Tester will provide expertise and instruction to new team members and stakeholders, ensuring products and systems comply with government information assurance and cyber security standards. This position also requires participation in design reviews, ensuring all equipment and documentation are available prior to testing, and writing test plans. The role involves working with the team to ensure testing coverage, reviewing and improving technical documentation, and producing high-quality reports and presentations for senior government officials. Collaboration with development, test, security, and leadership teams is essential, as is providing feedback to design engineers and operational input into product development. The Senior Readiness Tester will also collect and resolve issues with development teams, prepare and present test results briefings, maintain documentation, attend product demos, and support general meeting facilitation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance
- Customer Technical Operations certification
- Prior experience and fundamental knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
- Product requirements experience
- Experience in writing test plans
- Prior product testing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Previous CONOPS development
Responsibilities
- Ensure the operational readiness of products before their deployments
- Execute and support operational testing
- Working as expert, conduct research and evaluate technical performance of customer products and overall system segments.
- Provide expertise, foundational knowledge, and comprehensive instruction for new team members and stakeholders
- Ensure products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.
- Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. This includes reviews of test plans/procedures and ensuring requirements verification/validation.
- Ensure that all equipment, documentation, etc. is complete and available prior to testing start
- Write test plans
- Work with the team to ensure testing coverage
- Review technical documentation (Product guides, Quick Start guides) and identify discrepancies
- Work with the product team to improve the documentation
- Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
- Work closely with development, test, security, and leadership teams for deliverables
- Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluate end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
- Provide operational input into product development
- Collect and work with the development teams to resolve any issues found before or during testing
- Prepare test results briefings
- Present briefings to management
- Maintain documentation in Confluence and emails for team
- Attend product demos
- Support general meeting facilitation, note taking, and follow-up, etc.
