Senior React Native Engineer (Mobile Product Focus)

Weâre looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join a high-impact product team building and scaling real-world mobile applications used by active users. This is not a ticket-execution role. We are looking for someone who: Thinks like a product engineer Owns features end-to-end Understands performance, UX, and real-world constraints Can operate with autonomy and technical judgment Youâll be working on a production mobile platform, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences. There is a strong preference for candidates based in Chicago or open to regular in-person collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with React Native in production
- Proven experience building and shipping mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
- Deep understanding of mobile performance, animations, and UX
- Experience working with APIs and backend integrations
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of features
- Based in Chicago, or open to frequent travel for in-person collaboration
Nice To Haves
- Experience with React, Node.js, or full-stack environments
- Experience optimizing mobile performance at scale
- Exposure to AI tools, automation, or modern development workflows
- Experience mentoring other engineers
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

- Build and scale mobile applications using React Native
