About The Position

Primarily responsible for discovering and developing innovative radiopharmaceuticals; optimizing and initially establishing synthesis procedures and quality control measures for new radiopharmaceuticals; troubleshooting; and assisting with routine production and quality control testing of clinical and pre-clinical radiopharmaceuticals. The role also assists with other research and development activities of the Center for Molecular Imaging & Therapy. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and may vary with production needs. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience working in a radiopharmaceutical research and development laboratory environment.
Hands-on experience with chemistry and laboratory equipment, techniques, and processes, including familiarity with operating gas chromatography and thin layer chromatography.
Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of professionalism.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and clarify information.
Strong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness.
Reliability and responsibility.
Ability to effectively use computers and computer software.

Nice To Haves

Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Experience with radiation safety principles.
Experience with aseptic technique.
