Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals to advance its mission. As a not-for-profit, it supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. The Senior Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of safe, accurate simulations and radiation therapy treatments according to the prescription provided by the Radiation Oncologist and any treatment protocol. This role provides direct daily supervision to the Staff Radiation Therapist and serves as the team leader in their absence. The Specialty Senior Radiation Therapist independently performs advanced treatment techniques and quaternary patient care, which involves a high level of complexity and specialization. Proficiency is achieved through various rotations at the Mass General Main Campus in Boston, including the Proton Therapy Centers, Lunder Treatment area, and the Simulation and Brachytherapy Suite.
