About The Position

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in localizing tumors, participates in treatment planning and delivering high doses of ionizing radiation treatment to patients in accordance with prescription and instructions from Radiation Oncologists under direction of the Manager of Radiation Oncology. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity, the Senior Radiation Therapist is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.

Requirements

• Associates Of Science Radiation Therapy technology
• Three (3) to five (5) years combined experience in healthcare industry
• Five (5) years experience as a Staff Radiation Therapist in a Radiation Oncology Clinic in a community hospital or free standing facility or three (3) years experience as Staff Radiation Therapist in a teaching University Medical Center
• Three (3) to five (5) years combined experience in healthcare industry or one (1) to two (2) years of experience with a minimum of one (1) year in area of related field
• Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist: CA (RRTT:CA)
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)

Nice To Haves

• One (1) to two (2) years of experience with a minimum of one (1) year in area of related field
