About The Position

Quanta Standard Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantum Platform Engineer to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in similar roles and a proven track record of working in dynamic and collaborative environments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software developer or engineer.
• Proficiency in software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
• Experience with source code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes (K8), and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Rancher, OpenShift, etc.).
• Ability to work well on a team as well as individually.
• Ability to work on-site in downtown Washington, DC at least 5 days per week.
• Active TS//SCI clearance.
• Passion for learning new development concepts, methodologies, and technologies.
• Experience hardening and securing containers.
• Previous experience with commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with quantum computing frameworks and tools.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quantum computing platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize quantum algorithms and solutions.
• Ensure the security and integrity of quantum computing environments through robust DevSecOps practices.
• Manage and maintain source code repositories and pipelines using tools such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate deployment processes using containerization and orchestration tools.
• Harden and secure containers to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
• Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to ensure the company's quantum computing initiatives align with business goals.
• Establish and maintain a high level of client trust and confidence through exceptional software development skills and innovative solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, thinking outside the box to provide effective solutions.
