About The Position

Our Senior Quantitative Developers work directly with traders and quantitative researchers to build and improve the pricing, strategy, risk, and execution systems that power our options market-making business. They combine academic ideas with a pragmatic understanding of trader approach and intuition, to deliver critical systems from initial design through deployment and shape the strategic direction of the firm.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including familiarity with probability, statistics, numerical methods, and the evaluation of model or strategy behavior.
  • Knowledge of options pricing models, implied volatility surfaces, risk measurements, and market microstructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with traders and quantitative researchers.
  • Substantial professional software development experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Ability to lead technical design discussions, make pragmatic architectural decisions, mentor other developers, and improve engineering standards across the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical and quantitative concepts.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Pass the FINRA Series 57 exam.

  • Make informed architectural and performance tradeoffs.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in trading capability, computational performance, or research productivity.
  • Proactively address technical debt and operational risk.
  • Improve testing and observability.
  • Help establish engineering practices that allow the team to move quickly without compromising correctness.
  • Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new technical and quantitative opportunities.
