The Sr. Quality Supervisor leads a team of quality engineers and technicians supporting the Capital Equipment & Externals Business Unit. This role directs projects to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products and facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across quality systems, manufacturing support and new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, manufacturing or a related field within a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, preparing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approvals and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
  • Develop direct reports by identifying appropriate training opportunities, assigning progressively challenging work, applying progressive disciplinary actions when appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
  • Monitor daily work operations and provide direction and guidance to staff to achieve team and project goals.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Interpret and execute policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures, including FDA, quality system and equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • Translate department goals into individual performance objectives.
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements that enhance team performance.
  • Provide manufacturing support by defining work assignments to address manufacturing process defects and implement process improvements using quality system tools.
  • Direct quality personnel in support of new product development and product integration by defining projects in coordination with management and project leaders.
  • Implement improvements to quality systems and tools by directing personnel to gather data, identify gaps, evaluate opportunities and recommend new quality tools.
  • Ensure ongoing support of the Quality System and regulatory compliance by resolving quality system issues and delegating projects that maintain quality system effectiveness.
