The main purpose of the job is to confirm proper satisfaction and documentation of quality release criteria for all assigned materials as specified by the Quality Expert and to un-restrict all batches which fully comply with release criteria in a timely manner. The role maintains records to support the decision for each batch that is released or moved to blocked status, resolves discrepancies in documentation of release requirements and batch information, and supports logistics and deployment staff by researching and resolving issues with material release to ensure timely shipment. The position maintains accurate records of release requirements for each location, ensures records are easily accessed, resolves inventory synchronization issues, supports traceability of materials, manages product returns and blocked stock, monitors inventory expiry, and supports SharePoint and document control system updates. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate reporting, supporting audits and compliance with Nestlé policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, the job involves developing technical skills in contract manufacturing factories, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, tracking site audit requirements, and supporting on-site assessments and vendor approvals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of inventory experience and/or food safety management experience
  • Base auditing proficiency established
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details
  • Well-organized, methodical thinker

  • Able to prioritize and juggle multiple demands. Manages time well. Works well in high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

  • Confirm proper satisfaction and documentation of quality release criteria for all assigned materials as specified by the Quality Expert. Un-restrict all batches which fully comply with release criteria in timely manner. Maintain records to support the decision for each batch that is released or moved to blocked status.
  • Resolve discrepancies in documentation of release requirements and batch information, including bad batch receipts at DC’s and warehouses.
  • Support logistics and deployment staff by researching and/or resolving issues with material release to support timely shipment. Run availability report to ensure the good receipt processing time is followed by CoMan.
  • Maintain accurate records of release requirements for each location. Maintain files and records to be easily understood and accessed in the event of a product issue.
  • Accurately resolve inventory synchronization issues related to release and/or block status of materials assigned.
  • Create batches per logistics staff to clear IDOC failures and maintain proper documentation for proof of batch creation. Update status accordingly to sites.
  • Create and monitor temp hold report. Resolve all batches for assigned locations.
  • Support Trace of materials, as requested.
  • Resolve product returns and other blocked stock.
  • Monitor inventory located at CoMan to ensure that product being used to consume is not past expiry.
  • Back up for Administrator of CoMan Product Manual SharePoint.
  • Document control system updates.
  • Maintain NUSA Contract Manufacturing Quality PRC SharePoint with updated training manual for Specialist Responsibilities as well as assigned training sections.
  • Create and process GR for invoices for Kosher certification per emails sent by Quality Expert.
  • Run monthly open inspection lot report, research, and close open inspection lots in SAP to allow for clean data records in the system.
  • Support quarterly PRC call and maintain Teams NUSA Product Release Coordinator site as well as maintain members for group.
  • Maintain End of Year COS data in NCMQ – NIM Contract Manufacturing Quality SharePoint – NUSA CoMan Site information (Specific Site Information) for localized purposes for availability during audits.
  • Build technical skills and capability in Contract manufacturing factories to assure autonomy.
  • Develop working understanding of compliance to Nestlé policies for coman and quality complaince, and federal, state, and local regulations as required.
  • Development of TPM, NCE, and Quality tools to understand trends and to develop plans that drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with contact manufacturing managers to lead improvements at the locations to eliminate defects, complaints and drive improvement of site.
  • Track and Analyze Coman Site Audit Requirements, FOB, and CC activities and prepare Monthly Completion Status Reports and ad hoc reports; Determine, highlight and escalate issues / risks as needed.
  • Travel to contract manufacturing site locations for onsite support of projects, and continuous improvement activities; perform on site assessments as required to determine vendor approvals.
  • Responsible for uploading and assuring accuracy of sites information in QIR , VAM, & SMI, NCITES, including but not limited to upload of audit, annual risk assessment, and other SAP systems as required.
  • Ensure accurate contract manufacturing site risk and hazards in VAM through collaboration with Contract Manufacturing Quality Managers and Contract Manufacturing managers.
  • Travel as needed to support collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Other duties related to quality function; office weeks, team meetings, operational reviews, factory support, projects, assigned to manage opportunities for improvement (OFI) with key impact stakeholder drive vendor performance and business impact.
