About The Position

The Sr. Quality Manager will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages quality systems, and partners cross-functionally to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Quality Management leadership role within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing and developing teams of 10 or more employees.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes including cutting, forming, machining, and welding.
  • Experience with NDT methods including RT, UT, MPI, LPI, and hydrostatic testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of calibration programs and NIST traceability requirements.
  • Strong understanding of ASME codes, API standards, pressure vessel requirements, and related industry regulations.
  • Experience with welder qualification, continuity, and traceability programs.
  • Familiarity with metallurgical concepts, heat treatment methods, material grades, manufacturing processes, and quality testing methods.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control team to support production objectives and maintain product quality standards.
  • Maintain ASME and National Board certifications and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and oversee corrective and preventive action programs.
  • Develop, monitor, and improve quality metrics, reporting systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Purchasing to qualify suppliers, perform vendor audits, and maintain supplier quality performance.
  • Support welding and fabrication operations through oversight of NDE testing, welder qualifications, and quality verification processes.
  • Manage calibration programs for inspection and testing equipment in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Create and maintain quality procedures, documentation, inspection plans, and testing requirements.
  • Oversee product testing activities including leak testing, pressure testing, NDE, weld evaluations, and related quality validations.
  • Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and provide detailed reporting to project stakeholders.
  • Generate quality documentation packages and data books for customer orders.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Safety, HR, and leadership teams to improve quality performance and productivity.
  • Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and customer focus throughout the organization.
