Based on Customer requirements, performs and documents inspection operations on product throughout the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Hands on experience using video system and other manual inspection tools
  • Ability to apply correct inspection methods and techniques to perform inspection in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with machinist to maximize the quality of products manufactured and resolve quality related issues during the first article and in-process inspection
  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Must be familiar with Mil-Specs and customer specifications
  • Detail-orientation, accuracy, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate professional demeanor in all aspects of the business
  • Effective multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment
  • Good programing skills in Zeiss CMM using Calypso software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization and write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business or Quality Systems desirable; and/or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection, first article inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection
  • Create NCR on discrepant material/parts
  • Run and program the CMM’s, Experience with Zeiss O-inspect CMM's.
  • Make sure all QA equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Other duties may be assigned
