•$95,000 - $114,000•Onsite

About The Position

Entegris is seeking an onsite Senior Quality Engineer at its Colorado Springs, Colorado site to support FOUP manufacturing operations. The role will mature the quality system and process controls needed for an expanding semiconductor manufacturing business and planned production ramp. The engineer will work across injection molding, assembly, cleaning, inspection, and final packaging to strengthen process discipline, reduce variation, establish preventive controls, and ensure products meet internal and customer requirements. This position combines hands-on manufacturing-floor support with development of quality planning, statistical controls, procedures, training, and reaction systems for reliable high-volume manufacturing. The successful candidate will independently lead complex problem solving, influence cross-functional teams, and translate process and product risks into practical controls. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and at least five years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, three years with a master's degree, or equivalent work experience. Compensation is $95,000–$114,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience, with annual bonus eligibility. Entegris does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience applying quality engineering tools in a manufacturing environment, including PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, GR&R, process capability, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional investigations and convert data into practical, sustainable process controls.
  • Experience creating or improving procedures, work instructions, inspection methods, quality plans, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound technical judgment, and lead work affecting major site programs or manufacturing ramp objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt technical information for operations, engineering, leadership, customers, and auditors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with plastic injection molding, molded-component quality, tooling qualification, or molding-process control.
  • Experience supporting assembly, cleanroom cleaning, contamination control, final inspection, and packaging operations.
  • Experience in semiconductor, high-purity manufacturing, medical device, automotive, or another disciplined manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection systems, CMMs, optical comparators, automated vision, dimensional metrology, leak or functional testing, and measurement-system analysis.
  • Experience supporting production scale-up, manufacturing ramp, new product introduction, APQP, PPAP, or process validation.
  • Experience with SAP, camLine, EtQ, MES, or comparable manufacturing and quality systems.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.

Responsibilities

  • Own and mature process-control strategies across injection molding, assembly, cleaning, inspection, and final packaging.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, process flows, inspection plans, work instructions, sampling plans, and reaction plans.
  • Establish and improve SPC monitoring for critical product and process characteristics; analyze trends, capability, variation, and defect data to drive preventive action.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to define process windows, validate controls, improve error proofing, and strengthen adherence to standard work.
  • Lead investigations involving customer complaints, nonconforming material, internal defects, escapes, and process deviations using structured root-cause and corrective-action methods.
  • Drive containment, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and recurrence prevention using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, fault-tree, or equivalent methodologies.
  • Support qualification and manufacturing-readiness activities for new equipment, tools, automation, products, and process changes, including MSA, GR&R, capability studies, and validation documentation.
  • Build and maintain quality procedures, inspection documentation, acceptance criteria, visual standards, and performance metrics as the FOUP quality system matures.
  • Conduct layered process audits and quality-system audits across molding, assembly, cleaning, and packaging; identify gaps and partner with operations to close them.
  • Partner with Operations and Training to strengthen operator qualification, defect recognition, process discipline, and reaction-plan execution during workforce and production ramp.
  • Provide quality engineering support for product disposition, deviation assessment, change management, and risk-based decision making.
  • Communicate quality risks, process performance, investigation results, and improvement priorities to leadership, cross-functional teams, customers, and auditors.
  • Support customer-quality activities, qualification data packages, audits, scorecards, and technical responses as required.
  • Use data to prioritize improvement projects that reduce defects, scrap, rework, and variation while improving yield, throughput, cleanliness, and customer confidence.
