About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED Aerospace division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $ 110,000 a year. This role requires working on-site M-F at our Middlesex, NC facility. The Sr. Quality Engineer manages quality assurance resources to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. Assists the Quality Manager to provide total quality leadership to customers, suppliers, and all internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree from accredited institution.
  • Minimum of (3) years of quality mfg. engineering experience.
  • Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 2 years of hose manufacturing experience.
  • 5 year of quality mfg. engineering experience .
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is preferred
  • Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification
  • Quality audit experience preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge Lean & Six Sigma tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics,
  • Quality and Metrology knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Quality Engineering assignments such as contract review, manufacturing support, PPAP, auditing and corrective action investigations with minimal supervision
  • Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes
  • Lead improvement teams in the development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits
  • Ensure development, implementation and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria and procedures/work instructions
  • Participates in and/or may lead the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customers’ requirements are met in new or modified products and processes
  • Lead or provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects / problem solving teams
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed
  • Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements
  • Assist in designing and implementing Quality Assurance training programs and conducts training in quality related topics relative to the work
  • Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization, and the organizational freedom to resolve matters pertaining to quality
